                  Beethoven?s Symphony No.9 broke all boundaries when it was written by introducing singers into an orchestral work. Now it is one of the most famous pieces in the world.  The first concert in the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra?s Splendour of Vienna Series sees Auckland Choral join the APO to bring this great work to Auckland for the first time in more than five years. The programme also features Schoenberg?s deeply moving A Survivor from Warsaw, which, like Beethoven?s symphony, is a tribute to the human spirit.
